Untold 2026: the clash guide — set times are out, here are the hard calls

Updated 5 August: Untold published the full timetable — this guide now has real set times and real clash calls for all four nights. The original pre-times planner is retired.

Untold takes over Cluj-Napoca on 6–9 August 2026: four nights around the Cluj Arena with 317 timed sets across nine stages, running from late afternoon until well past 05:00. The timetable finally dropped in the festival app, and it confirms almost every clash this guide predicted — plus a few nobody saw coming. Here's the night-by-night breakdown.

How to read an Untold night

Untold nights don't end at midnight — they barely start by then. Main stage headliners land between 21:55 and 02:40, Galaxy (the underground room) runs its biggest names from 01:00, and every night has a closer at 05:00 or later. Three structural truths, now confirmed by the timetable:

• Main vs Galaxy is the nightly fault line, and it lives at 01:00–03:00. The EDM-pop peak on Main and the techno/rominimal peak on Galaxy overlap in the small hours every single night.
• The 05:00 club is real. Cezar (Thu), Gordo (Fri), Holy Priest (Sat) and Sara Landry (Sun) all start at 05:00 or later. The best underground sets of the festival happen after most people have left.
• Alchemy is Romania's stage — drum and bass shares it with the country's biggest hip hop. Its headliners land 23:00–00:30, earlier than Galaxy's, so you can often do both.

Thursday 6 August — Sting, then Carl Cox

The opener is the festival's genre whiplash in miniature. Main runs Smiley (20:10) → a Sadhguru appearance (21:15) → Sting at 21:55 → James Hype (23:50) → The Chainsmokers at 01:45 → Maddix's hard techno (03:30). Galaxy answers late: Nic Fanciulli at 23:00, then Carl Cox at 01:00 — and there it is, the predicted Cox-vs-Chainsmokers window, confirmed with a 45-minute offset. You can catch the first stretch of Cox and still sprint to Main, but a Cox set builds; choose. Gramatik takes Alchemy at 23:10, Sigma's d'n'b follows at 00:35, WhoMadeWho's hybrid DJ set has Daydreaming at midnight, and the rominimal school runs Galaxy to sunrise: Priku 03:00, Cezar 05:00. Maddix vs Priku at half three is the night's quiet second clash — hard techno or minimal, no wrong answer.

Friday 7 August — Kygo vs the underground, three times over

The most mainstream Main lineup — Swae Lee (19:35), Zara Larsson (21:20), Kygo at 23:05, Sebastian Ingrosso (00:40), Marshmello at 02:40, Tchami (04:15) — against the deepest Galaxy night. The clashes come in three waves. At 23:00: Kygo vs bbno$ on Alchemy vs Cristi Cons opening Galaxy's rominimal run (23:30). Around midnight: Sébastien Léger at 00:00 on Daydreaming, Pendulum's DJ set at 00:10 on Alchemy, Ingrosso at 00:40, Arapu at 01:00 — four stages in one hour. And the wave that hurts: Marshmello 02:40 vs Maceo Plex 03:00, with Mano Le Tough already an hour into his Daydreaming set. The Léger–Mano Le Tough melodic pairing this guide hoped for is real, just sequential rather than b2b: Léger midnight, Mano Le Tough 02:00, same stage. Gordo closes Galaxy at 05:00.

Saturday 8 August — Solomun vs Garrix, confirmed

The biggest night, and the timetable delivered the exact clash everyone predicted. Main: Lewis Capaldi 21:55, MËSTIZA 23:10, Lost Frequencies 00:45, Martin Garrix 02:30, Tujamo 04:15. Galaxy: Joseph Capriati 00:00, Solomun 01:45, Mau P 03:45, Holy Priest 05:45. So: Solomun starts 45 minutes before Garrix and plays through his entire set. That's the clash of the festival — no sequencing trick saves you. The consolation: lose the Garrix call and Mau P picks you back up at 03:45.

The undercard wall is nearly as brutal: Denzel Curry at 23:15 on Alchemy (the best pure-hip-hop booking of the weekend, opposite MËSTIZA), then between 00:00 and 00:45 four stages fire at once — Capriati, Camo & Krooked (00:25), Lee Burridge (00:30), Lost Frequencies (00:45). Rampue's live set (22:30) and Tinlicker's DJ set (02:00) keep Daydreaming in the fight, Shimza brings afro tech at 04:00, and Holy Priest — the hard-techno priest — plays the literal last set of the night at 05:45.

Sunday 9 August — Sara Landry closes the whole thing

Main is the hits conveyor: Flo Rida (20:25), Alan Walker 21:50, Meduza 23:05, Afrojack b2b R3HAB (00:40), Steve Aoki 02:20, and Padre Guilherme — yes, the techno priest, the second priest of the weekend — at 03:45. The underground counter-programming: Mahony at 23:30, Jamie Jones at 01:00 vs NTO's live set at 01:30, MRAK's melodic techno at 03:00. Andy C gives Alchemy the weekend's biggest d'n'b set at 00:25, ten minutes clear of Afrojack b2b R3HAB — doable if you're fast, painful if you're honest. Jan Blomqvist opens Daydreaming's night at midnight and Major League DJz bring amapiano at 04:30.

Then the ending the timetable saved for last: Sara Landry's hard techno closes Galaxy — and the entire festival — at 05:00, playing opposite nothing but the sunrise. The people still standing get the best booking of the night.
